Matador is an instrumental collective from Vancouver, Canada that combines heavy riffs and loud drums with emotional, atmospheric, genre-specific guitar sounds. Their debut album 'They Were Here Before Us' features seven tracks that showcase the band's powerful and dynamic style, reminiscent of 'Russian Circle' and 'Sleep & Tool'. The album includes new tracks as well as previously recorded demo tracks. The band performed a live presentation of their single 'Dissociator' on June 6, 2021, and released an official video of the performance on their channel on October 15.
